Where to start...Janet was a dear friend to our whole family. We knew her in Corpus Christi Texas where she, Reverend Tom and kids were our friends as we attended All Saints. We were so thrilled to be reunited when they moved to Charleston (my family had moved there the year before). We grieved with her after she lost her husband, our church´s minister. We so enjoyed being with her at many holiday gatherings. We couldn´t think of anyone better suited to manage my wedding or to take care of my daughter in the middle of the night as I went to the hospital to deliver my son. She gave me a love for quilts and the art of quilting. She was always such a helpful, calm, loving, smiling and giving friend and she will be missed. So sorry for your family´s loss.

Janet was like a second mother to Betsy and I. She and her family were our Church Family, both in Corpus Christi Texas and in Charleston WV. Never a Thanksgiving or X-mas Dallas/Washington football game occurred where our two families weren´t together. Janet exuded calm and her intelligent eyes always said she was actively listening and she that she understood. Loved your strength and faith. My condolences go out to all of Janet´s family... love you all!

I met Janet in 1989 at Goodwill Industries on the west side of Charleston, WVa. She along with some other volunteers operated a small vintage area inside where items were for sale. Of course I was enthralled and would be asked by her and another woman to volunteer. Not only did we sell but had many events for the clients. I will always remember Janet's dear personality and her drive to help others. To you her family, I send much sympathy for your loss.
