Janet Piep
Mayfield, Utah

Janet Strasburg Piep, 74, of Mayfield passed away on January 29, 2025. She was born March 14, 1950 in Clearfield, Utah to Ray Lavere and Clarice Alida Moulton Strasburg.

Janet married the love of her life, George Fred Piep February 3, 1966 in Nevada. They shared many loving years together. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2015. Together they are the parents to Jeffery (Lynett) Piep, Kelly (Carrie) Piep, Cory (Kristy) Piep, Chontae (Ryan) Thompson, Chan’Til Worthen (deceased), and Jordan Piep. Nothing compared to being a mother, until she had her sweet grandchildren. She is the proud grandmother to 20 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. She loved being with her family and always wanted them near her. She was a caregiver all of her life, she cared for all who needed her.

Janet loved to work in her yard planting flowers. She loved the feel of dirt on her hands. If you knew Janet, you knew she was never afraid to speak her mind on her beliefs and what she thought to be true.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Clarice Strasbury; husband, George Piep; daughter, Chan’Til Worthen; and her siblings.

Cremation will be in the Magleby Mortuary and Cremation Center. A celebration of life will be Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Mayfield Town Hall, Mayfield.
