Janet Marie Pressley

Janet Marie Pressley, age 60, of Owensboro, KY, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at her home.
Janet was a very free-spirited woman. She loved animals and was privileged enough to spend her life caring for them. She was a groomer and trainer for racehorses at Ellis Park Racetrack and many others. Janet loved being a part of a big family and surrounding herself with her brothers and sisters; even though they nicknamed her "Duck". She never faked friendships and was an authentic and genuine soul.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Vivian Pressley and siblings: David Pressley, Clarence Dewayne Pressley, Margie Lee Sutton, Ernistine Allen, and Thelma Ann Saunders.
Janet is survived by her daughter Kelly Pressley of Owensboro, KY; siblings: Wayne C. Pressley of Cape Gerardo, MO, Susan Pressley of St. Louis, MO, Pat Pressley of St. Louis, MO, Jimmy Allen and wife Onedia of Owensboro, KY, Judith Pressley of Evansville, IN, Thomas Pressley and wife Sandy of Henderson, KY, Roy Pressley and wife Liliana of Flagstaff, AZ, Charlotte Golden and husband Tom of Lawton, OK, Richard Pressley of Kearns, UT, Kenneth- David Pressley and wife Linda of Minneapolis, MN, and Tina Pressley Ethan of Jacksonville, FL; grandsons Tyler L. Mattingly and wife Ashley and Justin K. Henning and wife Breanna; great-grandsons Zaden and Kaynen, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Janet's Life Celebration from 11:00 a.m. until the service time on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
