Janet (Harrison) Prock, daughter of Melvin and Lois (Core) Harrison, was born October 8, 1955, in Lebanon, Missouri and departed this life July 14, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-nine years.
Janet was no stranger to hard work. As a single mother of two, she had various jobs over the years to provide for them. She worked at Consumers Grocery, Shepherd Hills Factory Outlets, Tan-Tar-A Resort and Mercy Pharmacy. She made many friends and cherished the relationship she had with each of them.
When she wasn't working, Janet enjoyed yard work and tending to her flower garden. She was also an antique collector. However, time spent and laughter shared with family and friends is what she treasured most.
She is survived by her two children, Andy Prock and Sarah Bobbitt and her husband, Matthew; three grandchildren, Brooke, Johnathan and Jaxson; one sister, Gean Ann Harrison; other relatives and friends.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, Melvin and Lois Harrison and one brother, in infancy, Jerry Lee Harrison.
Janet was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. You never had to wonder where you stood with her; she was honest to a fault. But, she also loved fiercely and unconditionally. She will be deeply missed.
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body,
and to be present with the Lord.
2 Corinthians 5-8
There will be a private graveside service for Janet at Lebanon Cemetery at a later date.
Her wishes were to be cremated.
