Janet was born on October 2, 1956, in Council Bluffs, IA to John and LaVonne (Rochhotz) Boege, she graduated from Carson-Macedonia High School in 1974.
Janet worked a variety of office jobs during her life. She moved to Ankeny, IA in 1978 where she eventually attended Ankeny Baptist Church and accepted the Lord as her personal savior in 1980. She then met Arthur in 1984 on a blind date. They were married on September 14, 1985. Janet served faithfully at Ankeny Baptist Church in Women for Missions, Awana, and her favorite singing in the choir.
She was an avid sports fan with her favorite being the Iowa Hawkeyes. She attended numerous football and basketball games with her family. Growing up she played golf and was also an avid horse lover. As her children grew older, Janet loved cheering them on and could often be easily heard above the crowd. Janet also enjoyed sewing and crocheting and often wore clothes she had sewn herself.
Janet is survived by her husband Arthur Reinertson; mother LaVonne Boege; son James Reinertson; daughter Rebecca Reinertson; brothers Steve (Annette) Boege and John (Annette) Boege; sisters Elaine (Steven) Kahler, Laurie (Ivan) Hunt-LaBeau, Jolene Colley, Deanna (Mark) Fender, and Leanne (Jerry) Thies.
She was preceded in death by her father John Boege.
