Janet M Richards

Janet Marlene Richards, 79, of Rockaway passed away on October 18, 2025, in Morristown, New Jersey. Her life began in Dover, New Jersey, where she was born in 1946.
Janet enjoyed many years as an Office Manager and Bookkeeper for Precision Chrysler Jeep in Butler, New Jersey. She played a vital role in keeping administrative and financial tasks running smoothly behind the scenes.
A dedicated New York Yankees fan, Janet looked forward to watching baseball each year. During the week, she enjoyed following her favorite soap operas. A gifted baker, Janet could create nearly any dessert, but she was especially known for her Christmas cookies, which brought joy to family and friends and filled her home with the unmistakable warmth of the season. Above all, Janet was the most proud of her family and the many pets she loved and cared for throughout the years.
She is predeceased by her parents Wilbur and Eleanor Richards and her sister Lillian Peer (husband Arthur).
Janet is survived by her nieces Donna Mangano (husband Michael), Pamela Peer, and Jennifer Elkins (husband Thomas). She also leaves behind her great nephew Ryan Mangano (wife McKenzie) and her great niece Marissa Mangano. She will be remembered by many cousins and friends.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9:30 - 11:30AM located at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10, Randolph, NJ 07869. A Graveside Funeral Service will begin on October 25, at 12:30PM located at Restland Memorial Park, 77 Deforest Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936. Interment to follow.
