Janet Marie Casey Richardson, 75, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in her home with her loving husband by her side.
Janet was born in Ben Hur, Arkansas to James Cleve Casey and Pauline Bell Casey. She had three siblings, James Paul Casey (Virginia Mae Deffenbaugh Casey), Judith Elaine Casey Anderson (Noah Anderson) and John Daniel Casey (Debrah Kay Lewis Casey). Janet was loved by her grandparents; aunts and uncles; nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
She married Randall L. Richardson, November 19, 1971, at First Baptist Church of Goodman, Missouri. Their marriage of 53 years was one of faith and devotion.
Janet graduated from Neosho High School and Crowder College with an Associate's Degree in Music Education. She was a gifted piano teacher and vocalist, playing multiple instruments and sharing her love for music with family, friends and many church choirs. Her family even released an album in 1974, "To God Be the Glory." Janet was involved in Bible Study Fellowship for many years. She loved the scriptures and old hymns.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Paul Casey; and her sister and brother-in-law; Judith Elaine Casey Anderson and Noah Anderson.
She is survived by husband of over 53 years, Randall Lane Richardson; and her younger brother, John Daniel Casey and wife Debrah Kay Lewis Casey.
A Visitation will be held from 10am -11am on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 2210 W Republic Rd, Springfield, MO 65807. A Funeral Service will follow from 11am - 12pm.
