Janet Marie Rigazio

Lowville - Janet M. Rigazio, 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Lewis County General Hospital.

Calling Hours will be held on October 24, 2024, from 11:00 am -1:00 pm at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc. located at 500 State Street in Carthage, NY. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:00 pm with the Reverand Canon Samuel P. Lundy, officiating. The burial will be held in the Lowville Rural Cemetery in Lowville, NY following the service.

Janet was born on April 1, 1952, to the late Joseph and Joan (Whitmore) Woodward. She graduated from Henicker High School. A marriage ended in divorce. She was employed as the seafood manager at the Stop & Shop in West Hartford, Connecticut. 

She is survived by her children, Leah M. Scott of Lowville, Joseph V. Scott of Florida, and James P. Scott of Connecticut; her grandchildren, Janay, Justin, Chad, Jonathan, Jayden, and Janiya; her great-grandchildren, Sullivan, Alexis, and Magnolia; and her siblings, Judy Shepard, Joyce Pugh, Joan Sherlock, Jean Houghton, Jane Coe, Joe Woodward, Jill Woodward, Jeff Woodward, Jim Woodward, John Woodward, Jackie Richmond.

She was a Sunday school teacher for many years in Central Square. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, doing fundraisers at her job, and most of all being a grandma! Janet was a very giving person, she loved going on casino trips and playing games.

She is predeceased by a brother, Jack Woodward
