Janet Sue (Brisker) Risner, 83, of Minford, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Friday July 25, 2025, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born August 10, 1941 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Joseph F. and Charlotte L. (McLaughlin) Brisker, she was an elementary school teacher for Wheelersburg Local Schools and Minford Local Schools, a 1959 graduate of Minford High School and a member of Sunshine Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, C. Eugene Risner; a son, Mark (Autumn) Risner; a daughter, Melissa (Michael) Boggs; grandchildren, Marissa (Alecs) West, Matthew (Andrea) Risner, Maggie Risner, Nicholas Boggs; great-granddaughter, Charlotte West; sisters, Helen Brisker, Lillie (J. D.) Mullins; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Risner, John (Debbie) Risner; sisters-in-law, Sue (Ron) Lebrun, Connie Risner, Bonnie Smith and many nieces and nephews.

\In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Harold Risner, Darrell Risner, Delano Risner and sister-in-law, Judith Risner.

A faithful servant, devoted wife, mother, and mamaw; Janet lived a life rooted in simple joys and deep love. She loved her flowers and flower beds, mowing the grass, and cooking in the kitchen. Nothing brought more joy to her than time spent with her beloved grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Sunshine Church of Christ with Shaun McCray and Jamey Riley officiating. Burial will be in Bailey Chapel Cemetery in Wakefield. Friends may call at Sunshine Church of Christ in Minford from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday.
