Janet D. Schuda was born on June 23, 1942 to John and Mildred Kochery Dugan. She grew up in West Mifflin, PA and graduated from Homestead High School in 1960. She married the love of her life, Stephen W. Schuda, Jr. on May 15, 1965 and they resided in Penn Hills, PA. They had two children: Susan M. Shirron (John) and Stephen J. (Linda) and five grandchildren: Matthew (Megan), Anne (Fiancé Alec) and Meghan Shirron, and Jenna and Rachel Schuda; and one great grandchild, Bruin Shirron. Steve and Jan enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean. They moved to Bluffton, SC in 2009 and after Steve passed away in 2017, Jan moved to Exton, PA to be near her family. Jan went to be with Steve on Friday, September 26, 2025.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025 at 10 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. Entombment will be at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Monroeville, PA on Monday, September 29, 2025 at 3 PM. James J. Terry Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.

The family wishes to thank the staff and residents at Exton Senior Living for their love and friendship during her stay. A celebration mass will be held in her honor as Exton Senior Living at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jan and Steve's name would be appreciated at The Seraphic Mass Association, 5217 Butler Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201.
