Janet Sutherland

Janet E. Sutherland of Middletown, N.Y. a lifelong resident of the area, passed away on February 12, 2022 at the Joe Raso Hospice Residence in New City, N.Y. She was 77.
The daughter of the late Andrew and Hylah McCombs House, she was born on December 11, 1944 in Goshen, N.Y.
Janet worked in the Insurance field for many years and was an adjuster.
She was a graduate of Goshen High School and she loved to knit, sew and crocheting.
She married her husband William Sutherland on November 25, 1965 Thanksgiving Day in St. Johns Church in Goshen, N.Y.
Survivors include her husband William Sutherland and her four children Laurie Ryan and her fiancé Rick of Middletown; William Sutherland Jr. and his wife DawnMarie of Bloomingburg; Linda Marie VanSickle and her husband Robert of North Branch and Mark Sutherland and his wife Carol of Chester. Her sisters Roberta Heller and Ruthanne Crofoot and her brothers Raymond House and Richard House. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews and her nine feline babies (cats).
She was predeceased by her brother Andrew "Cy" House.
Visitation hours will be held on Friday February 18, 2022 from 11A.M.-1 P.M. with a Funeral Service at 1 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main Street Middletown, N.Y.
Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery Middletown, N.Y.
