Janet Lee Vasconcellos

Janet Vasconcellos, 59, of Weirton West Virginia passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Steubenville, Ohio, she was the beloved wife of James Vasconcellos and the devoted mother of five children: Jimmy, Rachel, Casey, Sheila, and Gabriel Vasconcellos. Janet was also the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren: Tyler, Drake, Dante, Declan and Piper Vasconcellos, Elliott Barrett, Livia, Spencer, and Landon Board, and Mason Britton.

She is also survived by her sister, Jacquelin Monigold, her brother, Michael Grindle, her aunt Ina and Tom Antonine, and her sister-in-law, Kristen Grindle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sheila and Terrance Grindle, and her brother, Terry Grindle.

Janet will be remembered most for the love she had for her family. She adored her children and grandchildren, and her happiest moments were spent with them. She had a passion for cooking, found joy in reading, and looked forward to Halloween every year, her favorite holiday. Her kind heart, strength, and warm presence touched everyone who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no formal services. Close family will gather privately for or a celebration of her life.
