GREGORY "GREG" E. BAKER, 76, of Weirton, WV, formerly of Fort Myers, FL, passed Thursday, February 19, 2026 at home. He was born February 9, 1950 in New Cumberland, WV, son of the late Gale E. Baker and Betty Lee Robinson Baker. In addition to his parents, Greg is preceded in death by 3 infant siblings.

Greg graduated from Follansbee High School and worked in Weirton Steel for many years. He later moved to Fort Myers, Florida where he worked for Canterbury School. He would finally move back to Weirton in his later years. Greg loved fishing and feeding the birds around his home.

Greg is survived by his sister, Carol Wagstaff; nieces and nephews, Dave Mega (Tracy), Mike Wagstaff (Christy) and Jewl Mega; great nieces and nephews, Cody Mega, Audrey Wagstaff, Matthew Mega and Derek Mega. He is also survived by close friends and nieces, Judi Corn, Jennifer Glass, Michelle Kendall and the late Paula Gatto; great nieces and nephews, Christopher Gatto (Sue Ellen), Ryan Gatto, Jason Gatto, Samantha Capito, Jessica Page (Nick), Raeanne Lippold, Joshua Gatto, Christopher Gatto, McKenna Gatto, Kaelynn Gatto, Emma Gatto, Arabelle Gatto, Adeline Gatto, Lilli Pollnac, Kayson Gatto, Dax Gatto, Noah Gatto, Rhett Page, Deacon Page, Connor Capito, Liam Capito, and Blair DeVecchis.

Per Greg's wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Weirton.
