Janet Lynn Weston, 68, of Hillsboro, Illinois, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Tremont Ridge Assisted Living in Hillsboro, IL. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Miller Funeral Home, Fillmore, IL, with Rev. Michael Plummer officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery, Rural Fillmore, IL at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery County Cancer Association. Miller Funeral Home, Fillmore, IL, is in charge of arrangements. Online memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.millerfh.net. She was born February 6, 1957, in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Frank Louis & Evelyn Louise (Merriman) Griffin. She married Douglas K. Weston on November 7, 1976, and he preceded her in death on January 17, 2008. She worked as a CNA in the Obstetrics Department at Hillsboro Hospital for many years. She later worked for the US Postal service. Janet was a member of Fillmore Baptist Church, and she loved to travel. She is survived by her daughter, Jami Scheldt & Andrew, Alton, IL; sister, Jean Ann Griffin & Larry, Oklahoma City, OK; brothers, Frank Griffin & Lori, Oklahoma City, OK and Jerry Griffin & Tammy, East Prairie, MO; sister, Jill Johnson & Lynn, Fillmore, IL. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Jeremy Weston.
