Janet G. Wojtowicz, age 95, of Stillwater, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025. Janet was born on April 7, 1930, in St. Paul to Melvin “Olie” and Johanna (Nekowitsch) Museus. She grew up in St. Paul and, after graduating high school, she met the love of her life, John Wojtowicz, on a trolley ride while he was home on leave from the Navy. The couple were married on December 28, 1948, and together they built a beautiful life, welcoming eight wonderful children into the world. Janet was a devoted homemaker with a strong dedication to her family, her church, and her community.
Janet will remain in the hearts of her children John, Sherrie Garcia, Mark (Lyn), Susan Wojtowicz, Bonnie (Tom) Benusa, and Patricia (Larry) Borowicz; grandchildren Angela (Matt), Dylan (Lyndsey), Cora, Nathan (Jessie), Anastasia, Nicholas (Kelly), Christina, Sandra, Jacob, Justin (Angela), Jacob, Jared, Danielle and Desirae; many great and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of almost 75 years John; daughter Debbie; son Joseph; grandson Ryan Garcia; great-granddaughter Jayla; her parents; and all of her siblings.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at the Church of St. Michael, 611 3rd St. S, Stillwater, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment at Rutherford Cemetery, Stillwater. Memorials preferred to Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute Fund at Allina Health Foundation, 2925 Chicago Ave, Mail Route 10721, Minneapolis, MN 55407.
