Helen Janett Lewis

Helen Janett Goza Lewis age 89 of Ider, AL died Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at CHI Memorial. Funeral services are Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 1 PM CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11 AM CT until service time on Saturday.

Helen was born February 10, 1937 near Fyffe, AL to parents, Gurnon and Jessie Head Goza. She was a 1955 graduate of Fyffe High School. She had worked a number of years on the assembly line of a fireplace implement company. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and canning. She and her husband of 60 plus years enjoyed traveling to antique car shows and spending time with their friends. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include husband, Arthell Lewis, sons, Roger Lewis(DeAnne), Greg Lewis(Kaye), grandchildren, Sara Lewis, Brittney Jeffs(Cory), Hannah Lewis, Matthew Lewis, Morgan Lewis, Abbie Lewis, Ethan Lewis, great-grandchildren, Lucas Jeffs, Ramsey Jeffs, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Bernice Satterfield.
