MS. JANICE APPLETON

Janice Ann Appleton of Millstadt, IL, passed away, Friday, January 9, 2026, at 7:02
p.m. at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.
Janice loved spending time with her children and grandchildren doing arts and
crafts. She loved nature and spending time hiking and fishing. Most of all she
loved cooking and baking for others.
Janice is survived by her former husband, Robert Taylor; daughter, Alizabeth
Wright and her wife, Nicole; daughter, Rebecca Taylor; son-in-law, Mathew
Heepke; mother, Pamela Field; father, Victor Freeman; Sister, Autum Jackson;
sister, Serradonna Appleton; sister, Rachel Freeman; sister, Sheila Field; Brian and
Stacey; grandchildren: Nick Wright, Lillianna Wright, Zelda Wright, Autum R.
Heepke, and Nolan Heepke; numerous nieces and nephews.
Janice was preceded in death by a daughter, Stevie Appleton; two sons, Robert
Taylor and Michael Taylor; stepfather, Ted Field; brother, Ryan Freeman;
grandson, Phoenix Heepke; granddaughter, Nilah Appleton; and her grandmother,
Carrie Donnelly.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
