Janice Faye Brewer, 71, of Staley passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Brewer was born January 3, 1952, daughter of the late James Howard Taylor and Eldonna Henssley Taylor. Janice was born and raised in Eden, North Carolina in a small community known as Flint Hill. She was a graduate of Morehead High School and also received an Associate’s degree in bookkeeping and accounting from Rockingham Community College. Mrs. Brewer was a hard worker, working for many years at Spray Cotton Mill, Fish Camp in Eden, Quincy’s Steakhouse, Baskin Robbins, and Forrest Oaks Country Club. She also loved being a consultant for JAFRA Cosmetics and PartyLite candles. In her free time, she enjoyed taking care of her flowers and working in her garden, crocheting, and spending time with her loved ones. My lovely bride was also the best cook in the world.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by her son, Jamie Parrish and great-grandchild, Hope Locklear.

Mrs. Brewer is survived by her husband of 45 years, Fletcher Steven Brewer; daughters, Connie Salazar, (Flavio Salazar; husband) and Michelle Parrish; grandchildren, Christian Salazar (Macie Welch), Janet Salazar, Angelea Brewer, Cecelia Mullins, Jessica Salazar, Brittany Campbell, Tiffany Brewer (Chad Brewer), and Savanah Campbell; great-grandchildren, Derek Campbell, Caleb Campbell of the home, Braelen Petty, Easton Creech, Tanner Creech, Taylor Creech, Taylor Locklear, T.J. Locklear, Tyleigh Locklear, Jonathan Mullins, Juelz Mullins, Braxton Mullins, and Emery Coble; and a special sister-in-law Patricia Locklear and Sandy McMillian.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Community Baptist Church of Siler City. Funeral services will follow at the church at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Mark Agan officiating. Interment will follow at Level Cross Methodist Church Cemetery.
