Janice Joy Heller was born August 30, 1936, at Grafton, ND, to Frank and Edith (Miller) Heller. She was raised on the family farm near Cavalier and graduated from Cavalier High School.

On January 17, 1954, she married Alvin Cull at Cavalier. As lifelong farmers they lived and raised their family on the farm near Hamilton, later wintering in Mesa, AZ. Janice was a member of the Cavalier Baptist Church and a member of the United Methodist Church in Hamilton.

Janice passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Wedgwood Manor in Cavalier, ND.

She is survived by her children: Barb (Tim) Gunderson; Jeff (Kim) Cull, and their family: Andrew Cull and children, Kaicen and Rylee Cull, and Alex (Lisa) Cull, and children, Clara and Elena Cull; Allan (Lisa) Cull, and family: Michael (Lesley) Cull, Alisa (Dan) Riley, and children, Chase Pierce, Casey and Elvira Riley; Laura (Cody) Foreman, and children, Emma and Cooper Foreman and Allyson (Zach) Frost; son-in-law, Scott (Jen) Schroeder and family, Ryan (Ginger) Schroeder and daughter, Laila Schroeder; and niece, Jolene Phelps.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin; daughter, Marilyn Schroeder; great-granddaughter, Lyra Cull, siblings and their spouses: Emily (Bill) Abraham, Mildred (Bud) Reichert, Laura (Fred) Reichert, and Milton (Florence) Heller; niece, Holly Parenteau, and nephews, Ronnie Abraham and Monty Heller.

Services will be held at a later date.
