Janice Deaver Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Barnes-Friederich & Pope Funeral Home - Del City on Mar. 7, 2026.
Janice Ann Deaver, 68, of Midwest City, Ok. passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026 in an Oklahoma City hospital, while surrounded by loved ones.

Born Janice Ann Hudspeth to William and Melba Hudspeth in Saumur, France on May 8, 1957. She lived a life defined by selfless love, unwavering strength, and a heart that always put others first.

Janice attended Texarkana Community College and held several jobs throughout her life, including a position as a bank teller in Texarkana, which she genuinely enjoyed. But if she was here today, and if you asked her, she would tell you the job she loved, the job she was most proud of, was being a caretaker for the people she loved. She raised her three children and then dedicated the rest of her life caring for her parents before their passing, then caring for her multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Janice didn't limit her caring nature just for her family. She would also help neighbors and friends to doctors' appointments, rides to the grocery store, or anywhere else they needed to go.

Janice was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, and her Ex-Husband Clyde Deaver.

She was survived by her children, Jason Deaver (son) and daughter-in-law Shana Poe, Jeffery Deaver (son) and son-in law Tony Jobe, her daughter Candice Nelms, grandchildren Alyssa Deaver, Elizabeth Deaver, Ashton Nelms and Autum Nelms. Great grandchildren Anthony Snyder, Archer Deaver-Jobe and Jax Struble.

Memorial Service, officiated by Dude Youngblood, will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 @ 2PM in Del City, Ok. at Barnes-Friederich & Pope Funeral Home (Ford Chapel - 305 S. Sooner Rd)
