Janice DeThomas Obituary

Janice A. DeThomas, 62, of Cheswick, passed away on Aug. 6, 2025. Born April 19, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve DeThomas. She is survived by her caring brother, John J. DeThomas and his wife, Karen; her loving sister, Sherry Kowalski and her husband, Brian; and her cherished niece, Kelli DeThomas. Janice dedicated her life to serving others at Mercy Behavioral Health. Her commitment to her clients was evident in the care and empathy she consistently brought to her work. She had a creative spirit, finding joy in crafting and painting. Her cat, a cherished companion, meant the world to her and was a source of comfort and happiness. Janice cherished the times she spent with her friends, creating memories that would last a lifetime. However, it was her trips to the Finger Lakes with her sister, Sherry, that she looked forward to the most, as they strengthened their sisterly bond. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Professional services entrusted to THOMAS M.
