Frank John DeThomas, 35, of Cuddy, formerly of Canonsburg, passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 23, 2023, in Canonsburg.
He was born August 11, 1987, in Mt. Lebanon, a son of Frank E. DeThomas (Joella L.) of Finleyville and Beth Ann O'Neil (Robert King) of Canonsburg. Frank lived most of his life in the South Fayette area, proudly graduating from South Fayette High School and Parkway West Vo-Tec, with a focus in Public Safety, in 2006.
Frank went on to become a volunteer fireman and an EMT alongside his brother, T.J. He got his CDL license when he decided that he was ready for a change in career paths. He was Roman Catholic and a member of the SNPJ Lodge of Slovan, where he recently enjoyed playing darts with his fiancee.
Frankie loved hanging out with his family and friends and enjoying the simple things in life, like jumping on an ATV at the family campsite. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed hunting and camping. His family will always say that he had a heart as big as he was.
Left behind to cherish his memory, in addition to his parents, are his brother, Thomas Joshua "TJ" Marriott, of Cuddy and his sister, Jacquelyn Craig (Andrew), of Richmond, Virginia; his children, Aniston and Lincoln DeThomas; his maternal grandmother, Diane O'Neil Truitt; his sedulous fiancee, Christine Wasky Trout; in addition to many beloved family members on each side of his large, beautiful and ever-growing extended family.
Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner / supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, where Catholic blessing services will be held at 6 p.m.
