Janice Doty

Gathered together in bittersweet reflection we honor the vibrant and loving soul of Janice Kay Nail Doty. She graced this world on March 23, 1950, in the heart of Amherst, TX, to William Thomas Nail and Agnes Edna Stephens Nail, and entered eternal life on October 29th, 2024, in Hendrix OK, at the age of 74. Janice met the love of her life, Danny, at 14 years old, and started dating him when she was 16. They were married on May 25th, 1967, in Denison, TX at the 1st Church of the Nazarene. They were married for 57 wonderful years and made Denison their primary home. They had four children- Danna Michelle, Dianna Marie, Deann Melissa, and Christopher Lee. She enjoyed traveling and shopping and was a talented home decorator and a wonderful cook. She loved her family with all her heart and was very proud of their accomplishments and loved to show off pictures of them. She was a devout Christian and volunteered many hours to her church. She graduated nursing school in 1975 from Vernon College and worked at Madonna Hospital. She attended North Lake College in Dallas for business and real estate and later became the Office Manager for Doty Chiropractic in Gainesville.
She is survived by her loving husband Dr. Danny Lee Doty of Hendrix. Her daughters Dianna Dumas and husband Micheal of Denton, Deann Westbrook and husband Ryan of Hendrix, and son Christopher Doty of Pottsboro. Granddaughters Ricci Christen, Regan Fox (Arnold), Ryan Tomlinson, Zarian Adams (Brayden), and Heather Dumas. Grandsons Tarin Wright, Zachary Crisp, Jaden Tomlinson (Allison), Zane Westbrook (Paiton), Zediah Westbrook and Patrick Doty. Great Grandchildren Parker Doty, Gabrielle Caldwell, Paxton Barbour, Emry, Sawyer and Scout Fox, Liam Crisp, Wells Westbrook, Kaesyn and Brixlie Adams, and Hudson Tomlinson. Her brother Glen Nail (Kaye), sisters Billie Hall (Larry), Theresa Barnard (Don), and Jo Dunn (Paul), and many more family members. She is preceded in death by her daughter Danna Michelle, her parents William and Agnes, her brothers Dewayne, Tommy, and David, and sisters Bobbie, and Lavera.
Funeral service for Janice will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2024, at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather to visit from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Fisher Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Crisp, Zane Westbrook, Zediah Westbrook, Tarin Wright, Jaden Tomlinson, Arnold Fox, and Brayden Adams.
