Janice K. Evans, 89, passed away on October 31, 2025. She was born on February 9, 1936 in Columbus, OH.
Janice retired from The Ohio State University in the Near Eastern and Judaic Languages Department. She loved her Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, crafting, camping, cards, board games and thrifting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Evans, parents, Robert Hunter and Hazel Robinson and several beloved fur babies, Maxie, Molly, Feebea and Beasley.
Surviving family includes children, Tammy (Randy) Schirtzinger, Steve Elliott, Tara (Chuck) Byrd, Wendy Graves, many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, sister, Tracey Miller, nephew, Tristan Miller.
She cherished the time spent with her many dear friends, enjoying crafts, cards, and board games together.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Columbus Humane Animal Shelter.
Visitation will be held from 2-4pm, Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
