Janice E. "Minnie" Grizzle

Janice "Minnie" Grizzle of Bowie passed away Friday night, November 14, 2025, in Sierra Vista at the age of 92. She was born in San Angelo, Texas on August 17, 1933, to Tennis Clifton Creighton and Ella Elaine Stansberry. Janice was a 1951 graduate of Bowie High School and was a charter member of First Baptist Church in Bowie. She enjoyed making others laugh and wrote joke books. Janice was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include her children Joyce E. (Bo) Hall, Victor (C. (Geri) Grizzle and Diane S. (Kim) Gierke along with her grandchildren Lynette E. Andrade, Shane Hall, Ladd J. Hall, Gwen E. Reko, Jessica D. Blood, Kasey L. Immel and Kellen R. Gierke. Janice is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Preceding her in death was her husband Henry "Jack" Grizzle and two brothers. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Bowie with interment to follow in Desert Rest Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to the church.
