Janice Annette Hover

Janice Annette Hover, 72, passed away Thursday March 9, 2023 at her home in Lawrence.
She was born September 18, 1950 in Paw Paw, Michigan, the daughter of Leslie Alden Lounsberry and EdnaMae (Cerny) Field.
Jan attended Southwestern Michigan College, where she earned her CNA certificate.
Her community was always her main priority aside from her family.
She worked for the Van Buren ISD for 22 dedicated years. Jan also served as a cheerleading coach and provided respite care for children at the ISD.
Jan's favorite pastime was traveling with her husband, Gordon, down south and out east a couple times a year. All along the way on their travels, Jan would make sure no antique store was missed.
She had a detailed eye for decorating and gave her many treasures a second chance. Jan enjoyed hosting family and friends for her many parties and holiday gatherings. Her many sets of dishes were rotated around these special events.
Becoming a grandmother was the highlight of Jan's later years. She was always involved with their many activities and made it a point to be at their sporting events.
Jan is survived by her loving husband, Gordon Hover, two daughters, Annette Christine (Corbet) Riggs and Shannon (Thomas) Brady; one son, Christopher (Kristina) Hover; ten grandchildren, Allen (Angie) Weston, Theodore (Matt) Weston, Audrey (Austin) Riggs, Kenn (Joe) Maring, Maragrete Brady, Joseph Brady, Grace Brady, Brooke Sandborn, Alexis Hover and Matthew Hover, two great grandchildren, Grayson and Scarlett Riggs and her step father, Theodore (Virginia) Field.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Kurt Lounsberry: her mother, EdnaMae Field; and her father, Alden Lounsberry.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial service on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw.
Following services, there will be a reception held at the Lawrence Township Hall with food and refreshments.
