Janice Johnson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rembs Funeral Home and Crematory - Marshfield on Dec. 19, 2025.
Janice R. Johnson, 91, of Marshfield passed away peacefully in the presence of her family late Wednesday December 17th at the House of the Dove Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am on Tuesday, December 23rd at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with Father Nathan Officiating. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. The family welcomes relatives and friends for a time of visitation from 9:30 until Mass at the church.
Janice was born on Christmas Eve of 1933 in Owen, Wisconsin to James and Ida (Vanderwegen) Devine.
She attended Poppy Primary School in Withee and later graduated from the Withee High School. She was united in marriage October 23, 1954 to Lyle Johnson at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen.
Janice was a warm-hearted and spirited woman whose love for life shone through everything she did. A devoted grandmother, she cherished every moment spent with her family, sharing laughter, stories, and her endless love. Her joyful nature found expression on the roller rink, where she glided with grace and a youthful sparkle in her eyes. Deeply rooted in her faith, Janice was an active member of her church and a proud participant in the PCCW, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. Outside of church, she found peace and happiness in her garden, nurturing colorful blooms that mirrored her vibrant personality. A passionate sports fan, Janice could often be found cheering on her favorite teams: the Spencer Rockets, Notre Dame Fighting Irish football, and the Green Bay Packers with enthusiasm and heart. Her life was a beautiful blend of love, faith, fun, and community-an inspiration to all who knew her.
She is lovingly survived by her husband of 71 years, Lyle; 5 children Mark Johnson, Julie (Randall) Bluhm, Jill (Tim) Keyes, Thomas (Michelle) Johnson, and Theodore (Cynthia) Johnson. She is further survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Janice is also survived by siblings: Burt Devine, Kay (Jack) Parker, Ted (Mariann) Devine, and Tom (Sandy) Devine.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings.
