I lived next to Jan on Brickell Ave and we volunteered together as greeters at CF Gables for several years. She was memorable person for her loving spirit and a bit of a fire cracker underneath. I am heartbroken not to be teased by her anymore. Rest in peace my dear friend.

This is at Rusty Pelican on Key Biscayne with Jan right in the center (as usual) surrounded by friends whose lives she brightened immeasurably.

My wife and I met Jan Jones while attending First Presbyterian in downtown Miami. Jan immediately stood out to us as a person of outstanding character and uncommon grace. Though she was small in stature she was a giant in her devotion to the Lord and service to the body of Christ. We quickly became close personal friends and enjoyed fellowship in each others' homes as well as other social events.
That first meeting with Jan was 26 years ago. Since that time her leadership and Godliness has been a constant encouragement and inspiration. Her love and affection for our family and the circle of friends who became so close long ago has never wavered. I thank God for bringing Jan Jones into our lives and pray that be to others what Jan has been to Maggie & me. May the Lord bless you to be a blessing to others just as this dear lady was to so many around her.
