Janice Conner Jump

Janice Conner Jump, age 73, of Hazlehurst, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023 at her residence.
Mrs. Jump was born January 7, 1950 in Jeff Davis County to the late Hershal Johnson Conner, Sr. and the late Lula Mae Stafford Conner. She was a devoted Licensed Practitioner Nurse and was employed by Dr. Dan B. Elrod and Jeff Davis Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed visiting the beach and mountains. Mrs. Jump loved her Lord and was committed to worshiping and studying the bible at home with her family. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Dan Jump and a daughter-in-law, Dawn Quarterman Jump.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Kenneth Jump of Hazlehurst; daughter, Jenny (Lance) Ellis of Hazlehurst; son, Kevin Jump of Ft. Valley; sisters, Emma Lou McCarty of Reidsville and JoAnn Sapp of Kathleen. Grandchildren, Lee Jump, John Christopher Jump, Joe Jump and two great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Manning and Rev. Craig Jump officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Chris McCarty, Randy McCarty, Dustin Ellis, Holden Ellis, David Jump and Greg Taylor, Jr.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.
