Janice Elaine Keller, of Stockton, Kansas, passed away on November 5, 2025, at the UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colorado. She was born on May 10, 1952, in Stockton, Kansas, to Jesse and Dorothy (Young) Hunt. In 1976, she married the love of her life, Kent A. Keller, in Stockton.
Janice grew up in rural Stockton and graduated from Stockton High School in 1970. Throughout her life, she worked for Osborne GT, Schult Mobile Homes, and later as a clerk at Webster’s Super Market.
Her favorite place was anywhere she could be surrounded by family and friends. Janice’s heart overflowed with kindness and generosity, and she cherished every moment spent with those she loved.
A woman of many talents, Janice enjoyed sewing, cooking, and crafting. She especially looked forward to the Rooks County Free Fair each year, where she proudly entered her homemade treats and crafts. In recent years, she found great joy in helping with the King’s Kids Program at her church, sharing her faith and creativity with the next generation.
Janice is survived by her husband, Kent Keller of Stockton; children, Doug Keller of Lakewood, CO, Sara (Layn) Balthazor of Stockton, Tracy (Daneen) Keller of Stockton, and Kris Keller of Stockton; sister, Sherri (Alvin) Hammerschmidt of Hutchinson, KS; and 7 grandchildren, Christian Drake, Payton Keller, Janae Keller, Lincoln Keller, Kalvin Keller, Allie Keller, Charity Balthazor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Dorothy Hunt.
A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Main Street Christian Church in Stockton. Burial will follow at Ashrock Cemetery in Woodston. Visitation will be on Tuesday, 5-7:00 PM at the funeral home in Stockton.
