Janice Deanna Lepper, 85, of Selmer, Tennessee, formerly of Northern California, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 8, 1940, in Chico, California, the daughter of the late Gerald Franklin Palmer and Ruby Fannie Beam Palmer.
For 80 years, Janice called Northern California home, embracing its beauty and spirit before beginning a new chapter in McNairy County, Tennessee, in 2021. Throughout her life, Janice faced challenges with remarkable strength and grace. Since her cancer diagnosis in 2020, she fought valiantly-her courage and resilience inspiring all who knew her.
A true lover of life, Janice found joy in simple pleasures: visiting casinos, going to yard sales, spending time in the mountains, camping, gardening, loved animals. Her compassion knew no bounds-she was a second mother to many, always offering love, warmth, and a listening ear.
Above all else, Janice was an amazing mother, daughter, mona, aunt and friend. She poured her heart into her family and the people she loved, creating memories filled with laughter, kindness, and unwavering support. Those who were fortunate enough to know Janice will remember her sweetness, gentle nature, and quiet strength. She was soft-spoken, loyal, and giving-a woman who made everyone feel like family.
Janice is survived by her daughter, Cindy Lepper-Mello and husband Victor of Selmer, TN; her granddaughter, Ashley Casia and husband Sam; and her beloved great-grandson, Dexter Casia, who brought her endless joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her spouse- the father of her children, Charlie Lepper, her daughter, Connie Lynn Lepper; two sons, Chuckie Allen Lepper and Jay Franklin Lepper; and her sister, Geraldine Davis;
Janice will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched. Her memory will live on through the kindness, love, and strength she so effortlessly shared with others.
