Janice Elizabeth (Thompson) Mullen, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully in her home on May 1, 2025. She was born on October 10, 1957, to Leslie Melvin Thompson and Norma (Fountain) Thompson in France. After completing her education, she worked for many years as a waitress. She later met and married the love of her life, Michael Alan Mullen, on August 3, 1984. They were able to spend over 40 years by each other’s sides, raising their children and watching their family grow.

Among the many joys in her life, Janice loved cooking and preparing meals for her loved ones, as well as enjoying her crossword puzzles on a relaxing day at home. Her greatest joy in life, however, was the time she spent with her family, who will all miss her very much.

She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Michael; sons, Sean and Miles; sweet granddaughters, Winter and Willow; sisters, Tracy Bilotta (Chris) and Terry Kimball (Marc); mother-in-law, Terri Mullen; nieces, Marley Mullen, Bella Guzmán (Steve) and Dawn Nanni (Roberto); nephew, Kyle Clancy and Ian Groeschel; grand-nephew, Maxwell Guzmán; and grand-nieces, Miranda Guzmán, Chiara and Siena Nanni.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Thompson and Norma Thompson; brother, Donald Thompson; sister, Peggy Thompson; father-in-law, James Mullen; mother-in-law, Lydia Mullen; sister-in-law, Kelly Mullen; and brother-in-law, Scott Mullen.

Per Janice’s wishes, no services are scheduled at this time. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.indianafuneralcare.com
