Janice Perez Obituary
Smithfield, NC: Mrs. Janice Langley Perez, age 85, of Smithfield passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024 following several years of declining health at Rex Hospital in Raleigh with her family by her side. Graveside Service will be held-3:00 PM Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Kenly Cemetery in Kenly. Officiating will be Pastor Eddie White.
Janice was born on March 12, 1939 in Wilson County to Zeno and Madie Langley. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Langley, Ernest Langley, Richard Langley, and Junior Langley; sisters, Gladys Langley, Nancy Liles, Emma Mae Holley; and son-in-law, Ricky Thompson.
Janice married Alex Perez in 1989 and they shared a special love of animals. She will be remembered for her devotion to animals, her love for gardening, and her friends. Her family would rely on her for all the answers to their questions about the family history due to her outstanding memory.
Survivors include her husband, Alex Perez; daughter, Kay Thompson; grandson, Ricky S. Thompson; and a host of nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC.
Flowers are welcomed; however, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
The family would like to thank extended family and friends for their love, prayers, and support during Janice’s sickness and this difficult time.
