Four Oaks, NC: Ms. Nancy Darlene Capps, age 43, of 2957 King Mill Road passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh. A Memorial Service will be held-2:00 PM Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. John Jernigan.
Nancy was born on March 2, 1983 in Wake County to the late Elbert Shelton and Betty Byrd Capps. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Christopher Capps and brother-in-law, Mike Jackson. Nancy worked with Johnston County Industries in Smithfield and through them was placed in jobs at Ryan’s Steakhouse, Burger King, KFC, and Carter’s. She competed in the Special Olympics and Hopes and Dreams Cheerleading, Bocce was her sport of choice. She was active at Hickory Grove Church, loved Vacation Bible School and adored her church families. Nancy enjoyed going to White Lake and the beach and loved playing in the sand. She loved to color and draw and loved her care bears and stuffed animals. Nancy was a giving person with a big heart and loved her family dearly. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her siblings, Doris Jackson, Karen Williams and husband, Eddie, and Thomas Capps and wife, Shelby; nephews, Spencer Capps, Matthew Capps, and Andrew Capps; niece, Kaylee Williams; great niece, Katey Beal; and great nephew, Mason Capps.
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service in the sanctuary of Hickory Grove Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church at 1232 Hickory Grove Church Rd. Four Oaks, NC 27524.
The family appreciates all the love and support that Nancy received throughout her life and her sickness by family, friends, the staff at Liberty Commons, and UNC Healthcare and they are thankful for your thoughts and prayers at this time.
