Janice Jane Powell

North Augusta, SC- Graveside Services for Janice Jane Lawrence Powell, 73, who entered into rest December 5, 2025, will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Dr. Mark Riser officiating.

Janice was born January 12, 1952, in Augusta, GA, to the late Jeff Irvin and Tinnie Jane Lawrence. She had made North Augusta, SC her home for the past 50 years and worked as a Personal Care Assistant at Hammond Square before retiring. Janice enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren- who were the light of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Ralph E. Powell.

Surviving family left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Shannon (Shane) Holley; two grandchildren, Cody (Mariah) Holley and Erin (Trey) Caines; three great-grandchildren, Jackson Holley, Jennings Holley and Jesse Caines; three sisters, Dorothy Smith of Grovetown, GA, Linda (Bo) Kitchings of Aiken, SC, and Joyce Crawford of Easley, SC; Honorary Daughter, Tammy Major and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of Gentiva Hospice, for their unwavering compassion, care and devotion for Mrs. Janice during this time, especially her nurses, Laura Whishant and Kathy Culver and to Chaplain Mark Riser.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Josey, Trey Caines, Ryan Guthke, Patrick Clark, Robbie Guthke and Jeffrey Hudson.
