Jacqueline Powell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Allen Funeral Home - Davison on Dec. 8, 2025.
POWELL, Jacqueline (Biggert) – of Flint, MI, age 75, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, December 12, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Shane Bengry officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Meadowview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors 1-7 PM Thursday, December 11, 2025 and 10-11 AM Friday, December 12, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the family, in loving memory of Jackie, are gratefully appreciated.
Jackie was born in Jackson, Mississippi on January 7,1950, daughter of the late Jessie James and Annie Mae (Clark) Biggert. She married the love of her life, James I. Powell Jr., in March of 1969 at the United Brethren of Christ Church in Flint, MI. Their marriage was a true and enduring partnership that spanned nearly 50 years, filled with devotion, laughter, and unwavering support. James preceded her in death on September 15, 2018, but the love they shared remained a guiding light in her life. Jackie dedicated her working years to caring for others as a nurse aide, a role that beautifully reflected her gentle spirit and generous heart. Her compassion extended far beyond her profession. She had a deep love for creativity, especially through scrapbooking and crafting homemade cards. Each card she made was a small work of art-carefully designed, full of meaning, and given with love. Her handmade gifts became cherished keepsakes for family and friends who will forever treasure the thoughtfulness she poured into every detail. Jackie found peace and happiness in the outdoors, spending time camping, enjoying nature, and being surrounded by the family and friends she adored. Her faith was a steady presence throughout her life, and she was a member of Davison Free Methodist Church, where her kindness and warmth touched many. Jackie's legacy is one of love, creativity, and quiet strength. She will be remembered for her caring heart, her joyful spirit, and the many ways she made the world a little brighter for those who were blessed to know her.
Jackie is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Kellie Stocking) Powell; 2 cousins, Jennifer Copeland and Katrina (Brent) Taylor; special nephew, William (Freddy) Calhoun; fur babies, Lady; fur grandbabies, McKenize Ann and Milyn Rose; best friend, Margaret Eldridge; 3 brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Janice) Powell, David (Beth) Powell and Keith (Rachelle) Powell; 3 sisters-in-law, Judith (Robert) Lawler, Karen Powell and Joyce Powell; many other loving family members and good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse James Biggert and Annie Mae Hayward; husband, James I. Powell Jr.; son, James I. Powell III; 3 siblings, Barbara (Douglas) Calhoun, Joseph L. (Bev) Biggert and James (Betty) Biggert; brother-n-law, Richard Powell; aunt, Kathleen Hoard and uncle, Fred Evens.
