Janice Kay Proctor, passed away on May 12, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on December 4, 1961, in Maryville, Tennessee, Janice's life was one marked by unwavering strength, profound kindness, and a deep commitment to her loved ones and community.
Janice's early years were spent in the scenic surroundings of her birthplace, where she attended Heritage High School. Her dedication to her studies and her warm, engaging personality earned her the respect and affection of both her peers and teachers. After completing her education, she embarked on a career that would see her become a respected security guard, a role in which she excelled due to her strong sense of duty and protective nature.
Throughout her life, Janice was a pillar of strength for her family. She was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Mary and Roy Cline, and her caring brother, David Cline. Her memory will be forever cherished by her loving husband, Billy Joe Proctor, with whom she shared countless beautiful moments and unwavering support. She was a source of endless love and pride for her children, Adam Garland, Garan Garland, Joey Proctor, and Scarlet Proctor, and her brother, Terry Cline, each of whom will carry the legacy of her love and teachings in their hearts.
Janice's life was not confined to the roles of wife, mother, and sister; she was also a friend and neighbor who touched many lives. Her interests and passions brought joy to those around her, and she had the rare ability to make every person she met feel valued and important. Her warmth and generosity of spirit were evident in the way she lived her life and in the relationships she cultivated.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Chrystal Spangler, Faye and Greg Wilson, Brandy Wilson, and all of Janice's family, friends, and neighbors who have provided unwavering support and love. These special individuals played a significant role in Janice's life and comforted her through her final days.
