Janice Elaine Risko (Jan) of Alcoa, TN, went to her Heavenly Home on June 18, 2025.

Jan was born in Mobile, Alabama to Jay and Norma Pierce on June 25, 1942. They moved to southern CA in her early years. She loved horses and dancing. She graduated from Mar Vista High School in 1960, and married her one true love on her 18th birthday. Jan was a loving wife, mom and grandma who had a great sense of humor. She worked for an insurance firm and in retail when her children were older. She loved spending time with family and friends, and led a full and active life. She is remembered for her love of children, music, flowers, sports and chicken! Jan and her husband moved to TN in November of 2020 to be nearer to family who could help care for them.

Jan is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Theodore, and her parents. She is survived by her children Robin and husband Chris, Debbie and Teddy; grandchildren Andrew and wife Alisha, Courtney, Nicole and husband Justin, Brian and wife Robin, and Jessica; great-grandchildren Hunter, Harper, Joshua, Amelia, and Rowan; brothers Jay and wife Gitte, Ed and wife Lisa, and Mike; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A small private service for family members will be held at Grandview Cemetery on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. Reverend Eddie Sweet will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite charities.
