Guest Book
Funeral services for Janice Davis Scott will be held on December 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Burial will follow in Marthaville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Janice was born April 28, 1941 in Marthaville, La. to J.W. and Lessie Mae Davis. She passed away December 3 at Natchitoches Community Care after a short illness. She graduated from Natchitoches High in 1957. After graduation, she attended Northwestern State University. She married James “Jimmy” Scott on June 4, 1966. Janice worked for 30 years at Natchitoches Parish Health Unit before retiring in 1995.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James (Jimmy) Scott Sr, and one granddaughter, Payson Blayke Scott.
She is survived by her sons James (Scotty) Scott Jr and wife Trish of Oakdale, La and Alex Scott and wife Melissa of Natchitoches. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren Destinee Manshack (Blake), Shania Engel (Donovan), Reanne Scott, Kyndal Scott and Jami Scott and 4 great grandchildren Jake, Audrey, and Millie Manshack and Brinleigh Engel.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Terry McQuillin Jr., Charles Prothro, Shane LaCaze, Newton Monk, Michael Scott, and John Scott.
The family would like to thank the staff at Natchitoches Community Care center for their kindness shown in the last few weeks of her life.
