RICH CREEK, VA – Janice Fay Setser of Rich Creek, VA, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at her home with her family by her side. Janice was born on October 17, 1942, to Alexander Cole and Ethel Mae England Cole in Lindside, WV, where she resided most of her life. She loved Jesus and made donations to different organizations to support their cause for Him.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Carrol Setser and two brothers, Herman Lee Cole and James Howard Cole.
Janice worked as a supervisor for B. F. Goodrich in Union, WV, for 27 years. She was previously active with the Monroe County Animal League. She was an advocate for animals and took in many stray dogs and cats through the years. She loved her house plants and growing flowers outside.
Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Vicki Mann (Steve) of Hans Creek, WV, Treassa MacLeod (Chuck) and Cindi Pack (Ashley) both of Peterstown, WV; one son, Thomas (TC) Setser of Peterstown, WV; eight grandchildren, Heath Hill (Amanda) of Peterstown, WV, Heather Masse of Woonsocket, RI, Eve Braun of Peterstown, WV, Jarrod Hill (Sasha) of Peterstown, WV, Kaleisha Bonner (Matt) of Concord, NH, Brittany Ellison McDaniel of Peterstown, WV, Cristi Carbaugh (Tim) of Eggleston, VA and Mandie Setser of Thomasville, NC. She also leaves behind twelve great grandchildren; one sister, Della Everett (Don) of Peterstown, WV; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Cole and Laura Shultz of Lindside, WV; several nieces and one nephew, Rick Cole (Joley) who was very special to her and mostly her beloved pet, Dixie.
It was her wishes to be cremated with no services.
