Janice Trivette Obituary
Aug 25, 1954 - Nov 26, 2025
Janice L. Trivette entered into the more immediate presence of her Savior on November 26, 2025 at her home. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. on December 26,2025 at Calvary Moravian Church, 600 Holly Ave., Winston Salem, N.C. 27101, with visitation to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
Jan was born August 25, 1954 in Hendersonville, N.C. to Georgia Foltz Brewer and John R. Brewer Jr. She was educated in the Winston Salem school system graduating from Parkland High School in 1972.
She found employment with Bellsouth/ATT in various capacities retiring in 2007 as a Service Consultant. After a few years, she went to work in the Facilities Management office of Salem Congregation, as Administrative Assistant, a position she thoroughly enjoyed, retiring once again in December of 2017.
Jan was happiest working in the yard with mowing, planting flowers and trees and even weeding natural areas around the house. She and her husband enjoyed time in the yard together, taking vacation trips with family and friends and enjoying a glass of wine on the front porch.
She was a lifetime member of Calvary Moravian and served as a Sunday School teacher, Head Sacristan, Lovefeast Diener, and on several committees.
Jan was preceded in death by her mother and father.
She is survived by her husband, Jack F. Trivette; daughter, Kristie Pristas and husband Adam; son, Eric Vernon; stepdaughter, Allison Marion and husband Derek; stepson, Justin Trivette; grandsons, Kaden, Gage and Jacek Pristas; granddaughters, Eralyn and Braelyn Marion; sister, Patricia Scales; brother, John R. Brewer III; nephew, Jeff Scales; nieces, Erin Domian, and Jessica Wright; cousins and a host of friends.
The family would like to express deepest gratitude to Trellis Hospice and Always Best Care in home healthcare.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Calvary Moravian Church Steeple and Roofing Fund. Condolences may be shared online at www.salemfh.com.
