Janice Kay Wahl, 84, of Crooksville, died peacefully in the morning hours of Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Genesis Morrison House.
She was born on September 5, 1941, in Meigs County, a daughter to the late, John Marvin and Doris Rebecca (Bolin) Russell.
Janice, along with the rest of her family, moved from Pomeroy to the Crooksville area where they planted roots in the community for decades to come. Janice dedicated many years to her career at TRW in Crooksville, where her work ethic and commitment were greatly valued by her colleagues. After a fulfilling career, she enjoyed her well-deserved retirement, cherishing the time spent with family and friends. Throughout her life, Janice had a profound interest in genealogy. This passion for discovering where they came from not only enriched their lives but also brought them closer together, reflecting the bond they shared. Janice also had a great love for animals, she was well known to feed the neighborhood cats.
Janice is survived by her son, Chris (Susan) Smith; her stepson, Richard Wahl; her siblings, Gay (Francis) Roberts and Gene (Connie) Russell; her grandson, Christopher (Autumn) Wolfe; as well as her great-grandchildren, Slade Wolfe and Teagan Wolfe.
