Janice Elaine Warren, age 81, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026, at her home in Fort Smith, surrounded by loved ones. Janice was born January 29, 1945, in Tempe, Arizona, to Ross and Lorene Watson Carter. She married the love of her life, John B. Warren, on September 15, 1963, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they shared 62 years of love, laughter, and true dedication to one another.

Janice was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who was always there for those she loved. She enjoyed crocheting and working jigsaw puzzles and treasured the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband, John Warren; her children, Richard Tracy Warren, John Scott and Connie Warren, and Robin Lynn and Rickey Sears; five grandchildren, Blake Warren, Bryceton Palmer, Devin Sears, Brian Warren, and Kristen Johnson; six great-grandchildren, Novalea, Rhett, Jace, Jaylee, Raven, and Jacob; and her brother, Ross E. Carter.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Lorene Carter; her sister, Alice Glenna Jones; and her grandparents, James E. and Audee Watson and Joe and Annie Carter.

Services will be held at Fort Smith National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with Ross Carter officiating. Services are under the thoughtful care of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.

Janice will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends.
