Angier, NC: Mrs. Janie Beth Dunn, age 63, passed away at her residence on Thursday, July 24, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Dr. Elvin Butts will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Community Cemetery in Angier. The family will receive friends immediately following the committal service.
Mrs. Dunn was born on October 24, 1961 in Johnston County, NC to the late Claude Dennis and Nancy Kathryn Brock Canady. She was preceded in death by her sister, Vickie Canady; brother, Winston Scott Canady; nephew, Taylor Creech; father-in-law, Charles Ray Dunn. Mrs. Dunn loved to quilt, sew, and gardening. Mrs. Dunn was an orthodontic assistant with Stone and Hixson Orthodontics for several years and after her children were born she worked alongside her husband and family in their family business Dunn’s Welding Service Inc. Mrs. Dunn had a love for children especially her granddaughter, Addie. She was known for her sense of humor and making people laugh. Mrs. Dunn was a devoted member of Friendly Chapel PFWB Church and loved her church family. She enjoyed spending her time volunteering and serving the community she lived in. Mrs. Dunn was always willing to lend a helping hand to a friend or family in need.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Dannie Dunn; children, Abbie Creel and husband, Ricky and Walter Dunn and wife, Lindsey; granddaughter, Addie Dunn; sister, Tammy Rogers, Suzanne Perry and husband, Kelly; brother, John Jeffrey Canady and wife, Kim; sisters-in-law, Ginger Johnson Canady, Renee Walker and husband, Jimmy; mother-in-law, Brenda Dunn; nieces and nephews, Shane Beasley, Chase Creech, Alex Ennis, Lillie Burns, Gus Canady, and Dawson Walker.
