Janie Marie Gonzales passed away November 1, 2025. She was 69 years old. She was born on September 14, 1956, in San Antonio, Texas and lived there her entire life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Federico and Mary Tejeda Aguilar.

Janie received her education in the public schools of San Antonio. She worked 45 years in financial services, retiring in 2021. Volunteering for 20 years at the San Fernando Cathedral brought her much joy and a feeling of giving back to the church community. Janie married Edward Gonzales, Jr., on December 24, 1988, and remained a loyal and supportive wife until her passing.

Janie is loved and will be missed by her husband, Edward; daughter Michelle Voss (Warren); stepchildren Michelle Gonzales and Edward Gonzales III (Carrisa); brothers, Fred Aguilar, Robert Aguilar (Wanda), John Aguilar (Diana), Roy Aguilar (Helen), Richard Aguilar (Peggy); sisters, Norma Ramirez, Rosemary Aguilar (Roland); 2 granddaughters; 1 grandson; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
