Janie Lou McGehee

Janie Lou Murphy McGehee, age 63, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at her home of natural causes. The family has chosen cremation with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Janie was born in Russellville, KY, on April 10, 1962, the daughter of the late George and Georgia Lou Haley Murphy. She retired from Flynn Enterprises and was a sitter. She had attended Calvary Memorial Baptist Church and loved playing BINGO. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donnie McGehee and her three sisters, Barbara J. Murphy, Barbara Lucille Spurlin, and Connie Sue Dunn.

Survivors include her brother, Johnny (Glenda) Murphy of Herndon; her sister, Lisa Ann Dunn of Hopkinsville; and host of nieces and nephews.
