Our beloved Janie Atkins Nerio, was called home, on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Carlos Nerio; parents, Justo Flores Beltran and Consuelo Rosas Beltran; children, Jim Raymond Atkins, Diana Lynn Atkins, Arnold Atkins, Johnny Atkins; siblings, Justo Beltran Jr., Sylvia Galvez and Henrietta Alcala.
Janie is survived by her children, Jeannette Atkins Aleman (Robert), Lazaro Atkins (Mary), Cynthia Atkins, Samantha Atkins-Estrada (Luciano), Carlos Nerio III (Victoria), Stephanie Nerio (David Flores); daughter-in-law-, Sylvia Atkins, Mary Falcon; siblings, Erma Rosas, and Manuel Rosas; as well as numerous loving family members and friends.
The family would also like to thank Suncrest Hospice and her beloved niece, Cherrie Sanchez, for their compassion and care of their mother during these difficult times.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m., with the Prayer Service by Pastor Juan Aleman at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 11, 2023, at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 E. Anderson Ln. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 on Friday, January 12, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with a Reception to follow at the Parish Hall.
