Janile Ravenelle "Jan" 97, died on July 17, 2024 after a 3 month period of declining health. Born on Aug 13, 1926, she was the daughter of Albert G. and Lorraine (Stanton) Phaneuf.
She was a 1944 graduate of Nashua High and had owned her own hair salon in Nashua for years. She retired from Sanders/BAE Systems in 1988 where she was an administrative assistant and librarian for over twenty years.
Janile was predeceased by her loving husband of 70 years, Roland G Ravenelle who died in 2019.
She is also predeceased by her grandson Christopher Cournoyer, her brother Albert Phaneuf and her four sisters Albertine Wicher, Claire Boucher, Constance Tremblay and Eleanor Phaneuf.
She is survived by her children Diane (James) Falls Salem NH, Daniel Ravenelle Kansas City MO, Judith (James) Seager Hampton NH and Charles (Jeanine) Ravenelle of Pleasant Valley NY. Also survived by grandchildren Charles (Samantha) Goulet, Alison (Michael) Golosovker, Jocelyn Seager, Alex Ravenelle and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Jan enjoyed cooking, knitting and playing dominoes with her close friends, the Knit Wits, at her Coliseum Ave condo where she lived many years with her husband. Janile and Roland enjoyed traveling within the US, Canada, and Europe and had spent some winters in Florida.
At the request of the family, services will be private. Janile will be laid to rest with her husband at St. Louis Cemetery Nashua NH.
