Jannette Yvonne Jett

Jannette Yvonne Jett passed peacefully on August 14, 2025, at the age of 77. Born in Denver, Colorado April 21, 1948. She grew up in a military family living in many places, a few including Illinois, California, Georgia, Germany, and Oklahoma. After Graduating High School from Ribault H.S. in 1967, she met her husband Rex and they married in 1969. They then moved from Jacksonville to Alabama to Washington and then back to Jacksonville in 1984.

Jannette had many hobbies over the years that included gardening, crafts, tending to her bird feeders, feeding the feral cats, attending garden club meetings, camping, traveling, and taking care of her grandkids. She loved the "I Love Lucy Show", The

Beatles, Elvis, she sponsored a Child through Worldvision.org for over 25 years, and if you know Jan she has adopted countless kitties and dogs from to the Jacksonville Humane Society over the years. She was a member of Arlington Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida where she had made some of her closest friends that she was forever grateful for.

Jannette is preceded in death by her Mother Phyllis Gregory and father Finley (Jackie) B. Hurst and sister Joyce Powell. Jannette is survived by her husband Rex Jett, daughters Christine (Rick) Heichel and Mechelle Soehlig, sisters Joanne Kanobroski and Theresa (Anthony) Leipert. Jannette is also survived by her grandchildren Taylor (Justin) Lawrence, Alex Heichel, Ashley Heichel, Austin Terry, Nolan Soehlig, and Great Grandchildren Leighton, Kai, and Jaxon Lawrence.

Visitation will start at 10 a.m. Tues. Sept. 2, 2025, with the Funeral Service to follow at 11 a.m. at Arlington Baptist Church, 6009 Arlington Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32211.
