Kathy Greene Cannady, 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 25, 2025, at home. She went to be with the Lord, with her husband by her side, after her battle with cancer. Kathy was born in Jacksonville, Florida where she lived most of her life.

After graduating from Andrew Jackson High School, Class of 1968, Kathy was 17 years old when she began a long fulfilling career at Southern Bell until her retirement. She was a devoted and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Kathy loved and enjoyed her large and extended family. She loved animals and she loved her dogs in particular.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar B. Greene and Kathleen Stafford Greene; her daughter, Amy Melissa Perry; her brothers, David and Tommy Greene; and her sister, Wanda Greene Hamilton.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Michael W. Cannady; step-daughter, Mary Caye West (Eric); 3 grandchildren, Jessica Perry Piland (Bobby), Melissa Perry and John West; 5 great-grandsons, Kadence, Brayden, Kam, Jace and Karsyn; and 2 sisters, Lisa Pitts and Janet Greene.

There will be a Celebration of Kathy's Life on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Event Center at Peeples, 14165 North Main Street (Building C).

The Family will receive family and friends for visitation and viewing on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 5:00pm -7:00pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida or a charity of your choice in Kathy's name.
